Here we go...
Baseball has just started and everyone is excited for the new season. Growing up, I had a favorite player that I absolutely loved, cheered, and followed (I also have a lot of his baseball cards). Can you name him?

I don't know where you grew up so that hurts my probability of success here. Since you got married in Chi-town I'm guessing you grew up there.
ReplyDeleteI see you as a Cubbie fan so I'm going with Ryne Sandberg.
Nope, it is not Sandberg. Keep guessing!
ReplyDeleteThe lack of a clue is givng me 'roid rage.
ReplyDeleteSAMMY SOSA!!!
It is not Sosa. The guy I cheered for played in the AL.
ReplyDeleteOK. whether I'm right or wrong, this is who it should have been:

PUCKETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! You got it, Jim! #34 was my favorite player to watch as a kid!
ReplyDeleteI grew up with Killebrew and Carew, but as an adult #34 was always my favorite ballplayer. I went so far as to name our first bulldog "Kirby" - and she was a female!!! I loved the way he played the game with the joy of a kid and with a smile on his face. Great memories of watching Kirby Puckett!!!
